Barbara Duncan-Understanding The Metaphysical You

Who is the metaphysical you? The truth is that we are not just our Sun Signs, as many are lead to believe. In fact, Barbara says that everyone is every sign, in every house, in every planet, in every tarot card, runeā€¦and everything else as well. And if that's got you shaking your head, no worries. It's really not as complicated as it sounds. Like a fine cut diamond, we are all multifaceted, and learning more about our true selves can only make us shine a bit brighter.

When the subject of Heaven and Hell comes up, there probably are as many opinions about passing through The Pearly Gates or paddling across The River Styx as there are people who may or may not end up in one place or the other. And who better to talk about Heaven, Hell, God and The Devil than this week's guest, Bishop James Long. Whichever belief system you follow, and whether you believe in an afterlife or not, there is plenty of food for thought wrapped up in this one quick hour to get you to thinking and to satisfy your soul.

Ivo Dominguez Jr. - Keys to Perception

Keys To Perception is, as the book cover says, "A Practical Guide to Psychic Development," but don't judge this book by it's cover, because it is SO much more than just that. It takes books of this nature to a whole new level, offering information on a wide variety of ways for us to be able to increase our psychic aptitude and abilities, like working with crystals, skrying methods, chanting, oils, herbs, potions and rituals. It conjures up a lot of food for thought. When was the last time you thought about your Spiritual Immune System, meditating while standing or walking, or even the Third Eye Squint? There is all that and so much more. This book is one of those that needs to be in your library and covers so many varied methods of development that we could have gone two hours and still not have come close to getting to it all. Take a break and listen in. You'll be glad you did.

Doing a live show has its pitfalls and a guest having to cancel at the last minute is one of them. Most of the time, it's unavoidable, as was my scheduled guest for this week's reason for not being able to do the show. So what's a host to do? Some can happily chatter away and ad lib for an hour, others grab an encore show and throw that on, and then there are those who quickly look for a fill in and every so often, one does appear. Such was the case this week when I sent a fast message to Barbara Duncan, who was in the chat room, and asked if she wanted to join me for an impromptu show. And so she did, and here it is!

Karma

This is a special 2 hour edition of Stirring the Cauldron and a bit different than most of my shows in that it was panel discussion and the topic was Karma. My guests were a diverse group with some different belief systems and included Mr. Para Science Steve Parsons, Extreme Haunting Survivor Douglas Carnahan, and Actor/Performer and Storyteller Philip Earl Johnson. Bishop James Long was also slated to be on the panel, but he had something important come up at the last minute and was unable to join us. Nonetheless, it was an interesting show on a sometimes controversial subject that offered us all lots of food for thought. As the old saying goes, "Karma has no menu. It serves you what you deserve." Or does it? Listen in and you decide.

Varla Ventura-Fairies, Pookas and Changelings

When we think about the fairy realm, visions of sugarplums and gossamer wings come to mind, but in reality, the kingdom of the fae is also a wild and wicked enchanted realm that is home to some not-so-sweet and lovely wild creatures who are no strangers to vengeance, trickery, thievery and totally enjoy testing human nature. Varla's book gives readers a wonderful glimpse into both the light and dark world of Fairie, using both folklore and history as well as fairy tales written by authors like W.B. Yates and The Brothers Grimm. We talked about getting along with Pookas, Changelings, Hobgoblins, Brownies and other denizens of that magical world. It was a truly interesting and very fast moving hour and I know you will enjoy listening in. Remember that life is full of magic and magical creatures. All you have to do is believe.

It's that time of year when we are ready to throw out the old to make way for the new. While that in of itself is a very cathartic thing to do, things get even better when we can get a hint of what the New Year has in store for us. With the assistance of Barry and Connie's talking board and our guide on the other side, Laura, we not only got a glimpse of things to come in the world in general, but for those who had questions to ask on a personal level, they received answers to those as well. Will there be another terrorist attack here in the United States anytime soon, and where? Will alien disclosure take place in the next couple of years? Will North Korea interfere with the upcoming Olympic Games in South Korea? Listen in and find out all that and more.

It was great timing for Yule and the Winter Solstice this year to happen on a show night, and there's nothing better to get into the Yuletide Spirit than music. So here's an hour of very little talk and a whole lot of wonderful tunes from all over the world with some dating back to Medieval times. It's a soothing way to gear up for Christmas. As they say, don't let the holiday season get your tinsel in a tangle. Sit back, chill out and enjoy.
